Our cabin rentals deliver, all in the beautiful mountains of West Virginia. We're located right in the heart of the New River Gorge.

Do It All, Or Nothing

After a day spent exploring the heart of New River Gorge country, you can come back to your cabin and enjoy a long luxurious soak in the hot tub, grill out, or make use of your fully equipped kitchen.

Eat at some of the state's best restaurants, just minutes away. Curl up with a book in front of an inviting fire, or watch your favorites on DVD.

Go white water rafting, mountain biking, and climbing. Or go antiquing. Or, just chill out. A vacation here is all about choices.

However you choose to spend your "cabin time," you'll find it's easy at Opossum Creek Retreat.

What's Inside

Each one of our cabins is cozy, comfortable, and unique. Whichever rental cabin you choose, you'll find...

• TV and DVD player (no cable though- you're getting away, remember?)

The Tour

As you wind your way down our lane, you will find El Gordo hidden in the woods' edge on the left. It is our newest, and only cabin with a three bedroom design.

Continuing down the drive is "The Meadows House," a lodge with room for up to 20, including a 1000 square foot great room perfect for family gatherings or business meetings or retreats.

A little further and you'll come to the guest laundry facilities and recycling area. Just beyond are Cabins 1 and 2, simple, well-designed cabins nestled in the forest. These two bedroom cabins can accommodate up to six people.

Farther down the path, tucked carefully in the woods is "Over the Hill," a unique two bedroom timber-framed cabin that will also sleep six people.

The circular lane ends up at Cabins 3 and 4, with their custom design and room for four people each. In addition to these is our original property, the "Farmhouse," a renovated 1900's country home ideal for family vacationing.

We have recently added an interpretative nature trail on the property for you to enjoy. Whether you're birding or just going for a walk in the West Virginia woods, there's a lot to see right here at the cabins.
